Cold room cost depends on size and temperature. Indicative 2026 rates: 5 MT walk-in cooler ~₹4–6 lakh, 25 MT cold room ~₹12–18 lakh, 100 MT cold storage ~₹35–50 lakh, 500 MT multi-chamber ~₹1.4–1.9 crore, 1,000 MT NHB-subsidy unit ~₹2.5–3.5 crore.
What temperature range can you build?
We build cold rooms from +12°C (banana ripening) down to –40°C (blast freezers and IQF). Standard ranges: chiller (0 to 4°C), cold storage (–4 to –10°C), freezer (–18 to –25°C), blast freezer (–35 to –40°C).
How long to manufacture and commission?
A standard 50–500 MT cold room is delivered in 45–75 days from PO confirmation, subject to civil readiness. Faster delivery in 30–35 days possible for stock-design modular rooms up to 50 MT.
Which refrigeration brand do you use?
AgriMotion is an authorized Daikin Commercial Refrigeration Channel Partner. We primarily use Daikin condensing units, ZEAS racks and HMT — backed by genuine Daikin warranty and PAN India service. Bitzer, Copeland and Emerson available on client request.
Is government subsidy available for cold rooms?
Yes. NHB pays 35% of eligible cost (45% in NE/hilly and special areas) for cold storage above 5,000 MT. MIDH pays 35% (50% in NE & Himalayan states) for cold rooms, pack-houses and cold storage up to 5,000 MT. PMEGP offers 15–35% margin money for entrepreneurs. Only one capital subsidy can be claimed on the same component; AgriMotion picks the right scheme for each project and files the entire paperwork.
Do you build solar-powered cold rooms?
Yes. We integrate rooftop solar PV (typically 30–60 kW for a 100 MT cold room) with battery backup or grid-tie inverter — eliminating diesel backup and reducing operating cost by 60–80%.
What warranty do you offer?
PUF panels: 10 years (density and delamination). Refrigeration: 1 year comprehensive + manufacturer compressor warranty (typically 3 years on Daikin). Structural steel: 10 years on galvanisation. AMC contracts available post warranty.
