    Polyhouse Cost Calculator India, 2026

    Estimate the cost of a polyhouse in India and the MIDH subsidy you qualify for — worked from the MIDH 2025 cost norms, band by band, the way the state horticulture mission will check it.

    MIDH Operational Guidelines 2025, Annexure V, table B.5
    Rates are MIDH 2025 cost norms (Operational Guidelines dated 31.12.2024). Actual cost varies ±10% based on site, structure (GI tubular), polyfilm grade, fogging/cooling automation and freight.
    How this is calculated

    Four steps, the way the mission checks them.

    Every rupee on this page comes from the MIDH cost norm for your structure and area band — not from a price list.

    Sources
    • MIDH Operational Guidelines 2025 (dated 31.12.2024), Annexure V, table B.5 — “Protected cultivation”.
    • Assistance: 50% of the cost norm, for a maximum of 2,500 m² per beneficiary (walk-in tunnels: 3 units of 800 m²).
    • NE & Himalayan states, scheduled areas, vibrant villages, Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep: cost norms 15% higher; the 50% rate is unchanged.
    1. 01

      Find the area band

      band = up to 500 m² · 500–1,008 m² · 1,008–2,500 m²

      NVPH and fan-pad norms fall as the structure grows. The band is set by the whole structure, and its norm applies to every square metre of it.

    2. 02

      Estimate the project cost at the norm

      cost = area × norm(band) × 1.15 if NE / Himalayan

      This is the cost the scheme recognises. Site conditions, film grade and automation move the real quotation by about ±10%.

    3. 03

      Cap the area that earns assistance

      assisted area = min(area, 2,500 m²) · walk-in: 2,400 m²

      Anything beyond the cap is built at your cost; the norm for the assisted part is read from the band of the capped area.

    4. 04

      Apply the 50% rate

      assistance = 50% × assisted area × norm × uplift · your share = cost − assistance

      MIDH assistance is back-ended — released after the joint inspection, so the full cost is financed first.

    Questions

    Before you build on these numbers.

    What the figures include, what they leave out, and how the scheme money actually moves.

    How much does a 1000 sqm polyhouse cost in India?

    A naturally-ventilated (NVPH) polyhouse of 1000 sqm is costed at ₹10.5 lakh under the MIDH 2025 cost norm (₹1,050/sqm for the 500–1,008 sqm band). MIDH pays 50% of that norm in general areas — ₹5.25 lakh — so your share at norm cost is around ₹5.25 lakh. A fan-pad climate-controlled unit of the same size is costed at ₹16 lakh (₹1,600/sqm).

    What is the polyhouse subsidy in India?

    Under MIDH (Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture), assistance is 50% of the cost norm for a maximum of 2,500 sqm per beneficiary (pro-rata for smaller areas). In NE & Himalayan states, scheduled areas, vibrant villages, Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep the cost norms are 15% higher, so the rupee subsidy is higher — the rate stays 50%. Some states add a top-up of their own; check with your state horticulture mission.

    Which polyhouse type is best for India?

    NVPH suits most plains and is cheapest. Fan-pad cooled polyhouses are essential for high-value crops in hot regions (Rajasthan, Gujarat). Shade-net houses suit leafy greens and nursery work. Walk-in tunnels work for off-season vegetables in small plots.

    How long does polyhouse subsidy take?

    MIDH subsidy is back-ended: you build first, then submit completion docs. AgriMotion handles end-to-end filing — typical disbursement takes 3-6 months after Joint Inspection by the state horticulture department.

    Does AgriMotion build polyhouses across India?

    Yes. We have executed polyhouse and net-house projects in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. Turnkey EPC with MIDH filing included.
